I was so impressed with her at our hayride. I can tell that you spend a lot of time reading with her because she uses bigger words than my college students use.
Merry Christmas to you and John Amy. I hope you see Deedee over the Holidays.
JMG, I have to tell you this funny story. We host a college life group. One evening they asked Maria how school was. She said, Fine. We are studying animals now."
So they asked her what her favorite animal was? "Tiger? Bear? Lion? Giraffe? Elephant?" Through this list she keeps shaking her head no. Finally she looks thoughtful for a second and says, "No...arthropods."
We all died laughing. Now I know that is not her favorite (yes, arthropods are considered animals). I think she just wanted to use big, new word she learned. And we quizzed her. She knew what arthropods were.
Don't remember learning that when I was in 1st grade.
I am a native Nashvillian, Vandy grad (BEEE) and Belmont Grad (MBA). I have a wonderful wife and daughter. I work in Nashville as a business and operations professional. My interests are very eclectic (lack of focus?). I claim to be a Christian but fail to live up to the claim. The purpose of this blog is to share material I find inspirational, motivational, thought-provoking, or insightful.

Um, I'm going to have to look that up. I seem to have misplaced my notes from biology class (hanging my head in shame).
